Georgian College's Work Development & E-learning Training
Posted on: July 7th, 2010 | Posted by: Susan Burtt
Workforce Development provides E-learning training to a variety of agencies such as our Georgian College staff, Community Care Access Centres within the Province of Ontario, Central Community Support Services (which services clients such as the Ontario March of Dimes, Better Living, Unionville Home Society) and the ministries within the Province of Alberta.
Our E-learning initiative, ‘Collaborative Learning for Life’ has had steady growth since inception in 2004. Further information can be found on our department’s corporate website at http://www.georgianct.com/gcbt/col_index.cfm
We currently offer the following modules that may be accessible to you. Although we have some ‘academic’ generic-looking modules, others can be adapted to meet your industries/agencies needs (i.e. your corporate look & logo, examples directly related and understood by your staff).
- Ergonomics [with laptops]
- Health and Safety for Managers
- Orientation to Privacy
- Safe Approach to Home Visiting
- WHMIS
New releases coming this spring:
- Health and Safety for Employees
- Workplace Violence and Harassment (Bill 168)
We use the Adobe Connect Enterprise platform to deliver these modules; it has the ability to monitor accessibility, scores of participants and produce effective reports.
